Last updated: 24 October 2026

These terms and conditions apply to every order placed through ancestralsuperfoods.co.uk (the "website"). Please read them before you order. By placing an order you agree to them. If you are a consumer, nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.

If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, taking medication or under medical supervision, please speak to your GP or a qualified health professional before changing your diet.

3. Placing an order and how the contract is formed

  1. You can order as a guest or with a customer account. You must be at least 18 years old to place an order.
  2. When you submit your order you will receive an email acknowledging it. This is not acceptance of your order.
  3. The contract between you and us is formed when we send you an email confirming dispatch of the goods.
  4. We may decline an order, for example if a product is out of stock, if we cannot deliver to your address, or if there is an obvious pricing error. If we decline your order after taking payment, we will refund you in full.
  5. You can check and correct any input errors at checkout before you submit your order. These terms and your order confirmation are sent to you by email; we keep a record of your order, and you can view it in your account if you have one. The contract is concluded in English.

4. Prices and payment

  • All prices are in pounds sterling (GBP) and include VAT at the applicable rate.
  • Delivery charges are shown separately at checkout before you pay. See Delivery & Returns.
  • We accept the payment methods shown at checkout. Payment is taken when you place your order. Card details are handled by our payment providers and are never stored by us.
  • If a product is listed at an obviously incorrect price, we will contact you before dispatch and you may choose to continue at the correct price or cancel for a full refund.
  • Discount codes and promotions are subject to their own stated conditions, cannot be exchanged for cash and only one code can be used per order unless we say otherwise.

5. Delivery

We deliver to addresses in the United Kingdom. Delivery times are estimates. Risk in the goods passes to you when they are delivered to you or to someone you nominate, and ownership passes to you once we have received full payment. If we cannot deliver within 30 days of your order, or by an agreed date, you may cancel and receive a full refund.

6. Your right to cancel

You have the right to cancel within 14 days of receiving your goods, subject to the exceptions for sealed food described on our Right of Withdrawal page, which forms part of these terms.

7. Faulty goods and your legal rights

We are under a legal duty to supply goods that are of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 you can reject faulty goods and get a full refund within 30 days of delivery. After that you may be entitled to a repair, replacement or a refund. If you think something is wrong with your order, please email us with your order number and a photo. For more information, visit Citizens Advice (citizensadvice.org.uk or 0808 223 1133).

8. Our liability

  • We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill.
  • We supply products for domestic and private use only. We are not liable for any business loss, loss of profit or loss of business opportunity.
  • We do not exclude or limit our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, for breach of your statutory rights, or for defective products under the Consumer Protection Act 1987.
  • We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control. If such an event affects your order we will contact you, and you may cancel for a refund of anything you have paid for goods not received.

9. Use of the website

  • All content on the website, including text, images, logos, product names and design, belongs to us or our licensors. You may view and print it for personal use, but you may not copy, reproduce or use it commercially without our written permission.
  • Information on the website, including articles in our Science section, is for general education only and is not medical advice.

  • If you post a review, you confirm that it reflects your genuine experience and you allow us to display it on our website and marketing. We do not remove genuine negative reviews, and we do not offer incentives for positive ones.

10. Your personal data

We use your personal data as set out in our Privacy Policy.

11. Complaints

We want to put things right. Please email office@ancestralsuperfoods.co.uk and we will reply within 2 working days and aim to resolve your complaint within 14 days.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version that applies to your order is the one shown on the website when you placed it.

13. Law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. You can bring legal proceedings in the courts of England and Wales; if you live in Scotland you can also bring proceedings in Scotland, and if you live in Northern Ireland you can also bring proceedings in Northern Ireland.
