About our products

What makes Ancestral Superfoods different?

Raw seeds and grains contain natural compounds such as phytic acid and enzyme inhibitors that make some of their nutrients harder to absorb. We sprout and then ferment our seeds, the way traditional kitchens did for centuries, so they are gentler on digestion and their nutrients are easier for your body to use. Are your products organic?

Yes. Druidess, Gaia, Chieftain, Oracle, Warrior, our granolas (Aurora, Luna, Sol and Orpheus) and our Alchemy and Equilibrium Bites are certified organic. Our herbal teas, Ancient Detox and Ancient Defence, are made from natural and wild-harvested herbs. Every batch goes through quality and purity checks.

Where do your ingredients come from?

For our functional foods we use only ingredients that come from Bulgaria or elsewhere in the EU.

Are they vegan?

Yes. Every Ancestral Superfoods product is 100% plant-based and suitable for vegans and vegetarians.

Do they contain allergens?

Our products contain no added sugar, and the allergens in each product are listed in bold in the ingredients on the product page and on the pack. If you have a food allergy or intolerance, please read the label carefully, and get in touch if you have any questions.

How to use them

How much should I take?

One serving a day is a good place to start. The serving size is on each product page and on the pack. You can increase it to suit your needs and activity level.

When is the best time to have them?

Any time of day. Most people stir a spoonful into breakfast, such as porridge, yoghurt, a smoothie or granola, but they work just as well in lunch, dinner or a snack.

Can I cook with them?

Yes, but please do not heat them. High temperatures destroy the enzymes and live cultures we work hard to keep. Add them to cooked dishes once they have cooled down a little, or use them in cold recipes.

Can I combine different products?

Yes, and many customers do. Popular pairings are Druidess with Oracle, Chieftain with Oracle, and Warrior with Oracle after training. Any of them can be added to Aurora or Luna granola for a fuller breakfast.

Are they suitable for children, or during pregnancy?

Our products are whole foods made from sprouted and fermented seeds, and families use them every day. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, taking medication or have a medical condition, please check with your GP, midwife or pharmacist before changing your diet.

Are your products a replacement for medicine?

No. They are foods, not medicines, and are meant to be part of a varied, balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle.

How should I store them?

Keep them in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight. Reseal the pack after opening and use it by the best before date printed on the pack.

Orders, delivery and returns

How much is delivery?

UK delivery is £3.95, and free on orders of £40 or more. Orders are dispatched from our UK warehouse, so there are no customs charges. See Delivery & Returns.

How long will my order take?

Orders placed by 12 noon on a working day are usually dispatched the same day, and delivery normally takes 2–4 working days after that. You will receive a tracking link by email.

Do you deliver outside the UK?

This website delivers to UK addresses. For Ireland and the EU, email office@ancestralsuperfoods.co.uk and we will help.

How can I pay?

You can pay securely with the debit and credit cards and other payment methods shown at checkout. All prices include VAT.

Can I return an item?

Yes. You can cancel within 14 days of delivery and return items that are unopened and sealed. If anything arrives damaged or faulty, we will replace or refund it at no cost to you. See our Right of Withdrawal page.

Can I change or cancel my order?

Email us as soon as possible. If your order has not been dispatched yet, we will change or cancel it for you.
